Kids Program
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for Children Ages 4 to 15
Boran's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy opened in March 2000, and after careful planning and training we started our kids' program in 2003.
Our kids' program is fun and exciting. Children learn the technical components of the most effective self-defense system, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and learn to apply that knowledge in a positive, welcoming and safe environment.
The program was developed to give children ages 4 to 15 a place to develop and experience important core values: confidence, focus, commitment, discipline, respect, and a lifetime habit of fitness. As children grow in their knowledge of jiu-jitsu, they learn to apply those values to the rest of their lives with the help of their coaches and mentors. We know this is a time commitment for parents, but families consistently tell us it is worth the effort: those values carry over into behaviour at home and at school.
Students also enjoy the competition side of jiu-jitsu by taking part in local tournaments alongside their peers and mentors. Boran students have been awarded gold, silver and bronze medals at various local competitions. Come out and give us a try. You won't be sorry.
